The Late Stripper

This past Saturday was the last strip club meeting at the old AST shop. We've moved into a new space, which opens tomorrow! I can't wait for the strippers to see it. We've all worked very hard to make it beautiful and a place to inspire your creativity.
The girls had no problems with creativity for last month's strip quilt. They are beautiful and unique, just like their creators.
This is Stephanie's stunning Star of the Show quilt. (How's that for a little alliteration?) She says she's not a purple girl but you can't prove it by this stunning work.

The adorable Sharon made herself an equally adorable new purse and a little wallet to match. Look at that smile. Look at that pose! Cute, cute.

Sandy came in last week a little bit flustered with her Beach City Blooms quilt. I personally thought it was because of the setting triangles. Turns out I was right! One little extra triangle threw off the whole darn thing. But, Sandy plowed ahead, solved the problem and made an absolutely beautiful quilt.

Not only did she finish Beach City Blooms but she also whipped up her Star of the Show in no time flat.Love the colors in this quilt. Fabulous!

This is Jennifer's Yin Yang quilt. I love the fabric that she used for her background. It's tiny multi-colored polka dots that match the colors of the strips perfectly. That choice made for a seriously adorable quilt.

Lynne never does anything small. She said that this amazing king size Yin Yang quilt is for her. I'm glad she's keeping this one for herself. It's perfect.

Our sweet Miss Barbara took all of her leftover scraps from previous strip club projects and made this quilt using the Sunshine pattern. It certainly brightened our day when she unfolded this beauty before our eyes!

Then, Jennifer pulled Barbara's Yin Yang quilt out of her bag to share with us. Barbara, certainly you were not going to keep this hidden? It's gorgeous!!

So, what's up for next month? How about a little Brownstone? Bryant Park by Melissa Saylor has a total 70's feel to it. The colors are perfect for fall and this pattern is easy peasy. I might just get mine finished! Now that we've made the big move I will have a few minutes for sewing. Phew!

Come back tomorrow to see photos of our new shop location. I think you are going to love it!

This is the best part of Strip Club is seeing everybody else's version of the quilt that has been chosen or the creativity they have had in finding usage for scraps or looking for other challenges.

Ok then the unveiling of the quilt is also a fun part of Strip Club.
