Welcome to the Greenhouse.

For the Quilter's Tour of Homes, A Scarlet Thread transformed into a greenhouse bursting into Spring with beautiful quilts, darling children's clothes and, as to be expected, a blossom or two. Or three, or four.

Flowers and greenery can be found in every corner, tucked here and there, and even hanging from the ceiling!

The lovely Scarlet, made by the talented Janet Bell, beckons our guests to enter and have a little fun. Janet will be holding a doll making class as AST in the near future. Be sure to be on the lookout!

Our own Suzette designed, pieced and quilted the AST Shop Hop quilt! Laid out like a town square surrounding our greenhouse, it's made from bits of Bliss and that.

Here's a little close-up. Isn't it beautiful? There's been some serious oohing and aahing over this quilt.
It is perfectly lovely.

Sweet Kathleen, Karen's mom, stands before one of our new bundle quilts designed by Laura Coons, one of our newest AST designers. It's called All Squared and is made from one of our 5 yard bundles.

Laurie whipped up this adorable outfit in no time!  All she needs is a pair of cute white sandals and a sun hat!

And one of our "headless babies" models this cute little number made with Texture Magic. At least she isn't hanging from the ceiling!

What little baby wouldn't love this Remember Whooo Loves You quilt? This one was pieced and quilted by Wendy and made using  Adorn It's Vintage Groove fabric. How cute is this?

Everyone wants to know about this light fixture. It's from Ikea! Now you know.

Another of Janet's dolls perched on a shelf waiting to tell you a story.

One of our favorite things to do is to highlight the work of our AST customers. This is Mary and her stunning chicken quilt. This quilt is displayed at Quilts 'n Fixin's for Shop Hop.

It isn't just any chicken quilt, mind you. This is a lovingly hand-appliqued chicken quilt!
These chickens will never have to worry about being Sunday dinner! Ever.
You rock, Mary.
I hope you enjoyed Part 1 of the greenhouse tour. Come back tomorrow for Part 2.
You won't be disappointed!

Mary, I came across your quilt in a google image search for chicken quilts. I wanted to tell you, this is the most beautiful quilt I have ever seen. Absolutely love it!
