The Market Floor, or How We Spent Our Days.

We'll start with the madness that is Sample Spree. The crowds started gathering at 4:30 so they could be first in line to get inside- and it didn't start until 8!! Crazy. For two hours you can shop-til-you-drop for just about anything. The Moda booth is always crowded and it is usually impossible to get near it. Just picture lots of people, lots of hands, lots of deciding and it was very hot. Very, very hot.

The next day it was off to the races and the floor. Remember the Squedge ruler Susan demonstrated at retreat? Here is a beautiful quilt from the booth.

And check these out!

Whistlepig Creations  wowed us with these beautiful, graphic bags.

The Wooden Bear's darling tea towels.

Perfect for fall! We'll be carrying the patterns!

How cute are these? Yep, patterns will be heading to the shop.

Tim Holtz has gone from the scrapbook theater to fabric design. Not a huge leap. His fabric is gorgeous.

Take a peek at this exquisite geranium from the island Batik booth!

Me and Pam Vierra-McGinnis, otherwise known as Pam Kitty Morning! Love this girl. It was a treat to catch up with her!

Surf's up at the Timeless Treasure booth! The water might have been a bit treacherous!

A little view of what we saw.

Judy Fenton of Quiltsmart shows off the Mondo Bag made with charm squares! I might actually try this.

The United Notions booth all dressed up for camp.

They ran a little contest during market. All you had to do was t o wear a pin and if you were spotted by the camp counselors, you won a prize! Very fun. Oh, did I mention that I won an Accucut Go? Squee!!

Adorn It's Chamberry line. Look for it in the shop coming in January!

A few of Kimberbell's adorable Christmas projects.

A sweet visit with Karin Hellaby from Quilters Haven in Ipswich, England! Karen, Karin, Karin and Karen. Oy!!

After three and a half days, it's time for these weary marketers to head home.

But we did squeak in a visit to Sew This! in Abita Springs, LA.

We carry this pattern!

Cute shop and very friendly staff!

That pretty much sums it up. I realized that we took a lot of photos of product that will be coming into the shop and not so much of the "sights". We were very focused this market, and you are the ones who will reap the rewards of our hard work!! 'Cause we love you. :)
