What They Are.

Here's a little close-up of the flowers from the shop hop post. Can you tell what they are yet? Look close...........

Maybe a little closer........

See it now? Yes!! They are cotton swabs! 3,250 of them to be precise.

It only took us three hours to make 12 "alliums", from snipping off one end of the cotton swab (Can you say, "Blister!"), dipping them in glue, poking them into a styrofoam ball and rolling them in paint.

Totally worth every minute!! Totally.

Fun Things Are Springing Up Everywhere!

It's Spring here in Georgia and we have seen all sorts of loveliness popping up, like my blooming rosemary plant in the front garden. Heavenly!

But you don't really want to see plants, do you? No! You want to see quilts. Well, we've got 'em for ya!

Kris with his Mind the gap! quilt by Moda using Moda Bella solids. Such a happy quilt.

Kris made Scrambled Eggs in green and orange. I don't know why but the camera makes this quilt move like crazy!

Up Square, Down Square, last month's strip club quilt. Awesome!

And what does Kris keep all of his quilts in? The Big, Big Bag, of course. :)

Ginny is the queen of all things small and cute. She whipped up a sweet little charm square bag, some place mats and a changing pad...

plus some amazing table runners and wall hangings....

this gorgeous quilt and....

these little tea cup runners! How does she do it?

Lynn whipped up a fab t-shirt quilt with really cute hockey fabric. (My favorite sport! Hey, I grew up watching the Bruins!)

This lovely is Salad Bar by Modern Quilt Relish using Autumn Plume. Love the shot of blue!

A darling maple leaf surrounded by log cabin blocks.

And Savannah done in rich shades. Lynn truly has an eye for color!

Candace Hassen taught her Aubrey quilt last month and Lynn made it her own with a subtle sage green background that allowed the pieced hexagons a chance to shine!

Teresa also made Scramble Eggs, in black and whwite, that resulted in a totally psychedelic quilt!

Angie chose to make her Yellow Brick Road in happy blue, green and yellows.

Love this house quilt! I think it would be fun to live in this neighborhood!

Linda was a busy bee making this incredible Civil War sampler quilt!

Plus, she joined her friend , Cindy, in making fabric bowls. These have to be the most popular things with our AST customers. :)

Janet made her Basket Case quilt in our favorite Pam Kitty Morning fabric! Love, love, PKM!

She also made this lovely, soft square in a square throw.

We/ve missed Carol and her bright quilts at strip club lately. Glad she brought a lot to share!
This little quilt was made with 4 and 6-inch LeMoyne Stars! Teeny, tiny lusciousness!

Love this bright and spooky Halloween-themed quilt! OOOOOOH!

A darling tiny Thimbleberries tulip wall hanging with black tulips! So pretty!

Carol made Laura Coons' Splendor quilt with Flirt! by Sandy Gervais. Stunning!

Thomas' itty-bitty Trip Around the World. Can you belive that he has only been quilting for three months?!

This is his Five and Dime, made in Mary's class, with lots of fun, flowery fabrics!

Sharla's Up Square, Down Square done in soft pastels. Mmmmmmm........

Sharla also took Mary's Five and Dime class and made this darling quilt! LOVE the peacocks.

Linda and Kim, mother and daughter, show off this beauty made by Linda.

Karem creator of all of the 1/12th scale strip club quilts, broke out of the box and made a big one! This quilt includes all of t he blocks from the strip club quilts that Karen has made. Love it!!

DeAnna is recovering from knee surgery by spending some quality time with her embroidery machine making mug rugs!

And her mom, Jennie, came to help and make a king-sized Take 5- in TWO days!!

Melissa is breaking out and making some very cool art quilts. This one will hang on the wall once it's finished!

Barb made her Up Square, Down Square into a table topper. It's pretty peachy-keen, if you ask me!

So, what will we be making for next month? XOXOX made with..........................fabulous Kaffe Fassett fabrics! Yes, we cut them into strips so Sherrie could make this beautiful quilt! And you can, too. Strip sets are still available!

There you have it, lots of bloomingly beautiful quilts made by our AST Scarlet Strippers. Didn't they do an amazing job?

And a gratuitous shot of the azalea in my back garden. Just because. ;)
