As part of the 31 Day Blog Challenge we're participating in, we have decided to post our very own gift guide! This will be a two day guide, with today's post being about our favorite items from the quilt shop side of the store! Tomorrow check back for our favorite products from the sewing center!
So how will this work? We have asked all of our staff members to tell us their favorite products from both the sewing center & the quilt shop! Then we put the products all together in this handy little gift guide, so you can get the quilter in your life the perfect gift this Christmas, or you can try some new products, and give yourself a little something!
Unscented Best Press - Mary Ruth
"Many of you have heard me say already that Best Press is one of my MUST haves when I am sewing. I especially like the little bottles because the spray is much finer and gives better coverage. But keep in mind I am just as frugal as the next quilter, so I buy in quantity and refill my little bottle as often as needed. Since I am sensitive to smell I just love the fact that this great product also comes in unscented... so there's a favorite scent for everyone!"
Villa Rosa Patterns - Karen
"I love the Vila Rosa patterns. They are fast and easy and make great gifts. Even if you don't have time to "make" the quilt, you can wrap them with a few pieces of fabric and gift them for a future quilt...that is if your giftee isn't a quilter themselves!" We have tons of these patterns and many of them have kits or samples made up in store!
Sixth Finger Stiletto - Mary
"I love the sixth finger stiletto so much I bring it to every class and keep it by my machine at home. It helps keep fabrics in place just as they go under the needle and helps with straight stitch quilting when approaching intersecting lines."
Wonder Clips - Charla

"I have several favorites. Wonder Clips are one of my top favorites, because they hold really well." These are great for holding your binding on while finishing, and they work really well for English paper piecing!
Bobbin Holder - Tina
"I love the bobbin holder that keeps your bobbins organized." These are available for all size bobbins, and it holds quite a few. Perfect to hang on the wall to save space as well!
Aurifil Thread - Kaitlin
"Aurifil thread is one of my very favorite products! When I first heard about it, I thought, 'That is way too expensive for thread!' But let me tell you first hand, it is TOTALLY worth the cost! One spool will last you forever, and it comes in a wonderful rainbow assortment of basic and bright colors! Most importantly, it is very highest quality. The thread leaves less lint than other thread brands. We have tons of colors in store, and we also offer an Aurifil rewards card to “buy 8, get 1 free!
Valdani Thread & Accessories - Susan
Valdani thread, Bohin tapestry needles, & Lo Ran Needle Threader are all esential to Susan.
"My newest love is wool applique and Valdani thread & tapestry needles work perfectly to finish off the edges and embellish the designs. I could not live without the needle threader either. It is sturdy and a huge help to one whose eyesight is not as great as in my younger days."
Adult Coloring Books - Jill
"Coloring Books are my new favorite book! I love all the Adorn It books and the Tula Pink one is great too. After a day of concentrating on cutting and piecing a quilt its great to sit down and relax and color. You're never too old for coloring!"
KAI Scissors - Ken
"My favorite item on the quilt shop side of our store is our KIA scissors. They are great for cutting of fabric as well as easy to re-sharpen after being used for an extreme amount of time on our cutting tables." These are the same scissors we use at all of our cutting tables and we all love them!
Frixion Pens - Tayler
"Frixion Pens! They are wonderful for placement for embroidery! They write clean, crisp lines that fade easily with a press of the iron! We carry plenty of colors so you can choose your favorite! The highlighters are great for patterns too!"
Strip Tube Ruler - Theresa

This ruler makes half square triangles a breeze by combining brilliant engineering with "the tube technique." It's perfect to use with strips and even includes directions to make our favorite block from 2½" strips: The Daniela Block. With this great gadget, you can easily make accurate half square triangles from 1" to 9½"!
"Fork pins hold the bottom seam allowance in place when you're sewing intersecting seams! Perfect for keeping seams from flipping when sewing rows together. These are a must have for quilters of all experience levels!"

Love these items! Thanks, Kaitlin, for keeping us informed and up to date!
What a great collection, Kaitlin and Divas. I hope Hubby is reading the blog. If not, I will have to be my own secret Santa.
